Client Background

The owners of Karachi Cuisine approached Rapeed Design for a restaurant design and shop fitting service. The client had a successful restaurant business that had become well known for serving authentic Pakistani cuisine. The popularity of the food resulted in the acquiring a larger premises that would be used for larger functions.

Points of note

The design inspiration for Karachi Cuisine was based on a Arabian and Moroccan theme that provided diners and visitors to the restaurant a serene setting. With ample seating space, a bar, a fully compliant catering kitchen and customer toilets.

In keeping with the selected theme the design team created and manufactured the intricately designed fretwork, identified ambient lighting and a bespoke bar with selected fittings and lighting.

In all restaurant designs the layout has to be closely considered. With a large dining space that can accommodate more than 100 covers and more than for events, the space had to have the correct restaurant interior design and good quality furniture. We were pleased to be able to supply excellent bespoke furniture and seating in line with the chosen colour scheme. The seating combined comfortable seats along with more sumptuous booth style options teamed with hanging Moroccan lighting to compliment the dusky oranges and gold.

The shopfront, signage and restaurant logo were created by the design team. The shopfront design gives the restaurant a great presence on the street but the ambient lighting internally allows for diners to enjoy an intimate dining experience.
