With pharmacy business becoming medicines-led, consultation occurs on three different levels and privacy concerns will arise in the general pharmacy area, not just in the designated consultation space. We can enable pharmacists who wish to provide advanced services the facilities required to have their premises accredited by their local primary care trust (PCT).

The consultation area must be clearly designated as a place for confidential consultations, distinct from general public areas of the pharmacy, and must allow pharmacist and patient to sit down and talk without being overheard. We can ensure security, privacy and peace of mind.  Other optional facilities include a table, leaflet display and lockable cupboards. Pharmacists branching into enhanced services might need a sink unit and sharps box, for example.
